Christinehof Ecopark offers the visitor a thrilling trip in time from the birth of the earth to the present day.
Some of Scania's (Skåne) most beautiful scenic spots and most important historic sites are to be found here.

Start your explorations at Christinehof, the 18th century manor house and continue out into the sprawling
Borstakärr wetlands, the alum works area abundant in cultural traditions and the lively rapids of the
Verkeån beneath the rich foliage of the hardwood forest. A whole new world of experiences awaits you.    

Scanian nature, culture and history

Christinehof Ecopark has been created to protect, preserve and exhibit the sites and artefacts of natural
and cultural value that surround Christinehof. We present a natural point of interest offering memorable
experiences to people of all ages and diverse interests.

Activities
People who visit us come to experience the beautiful scenery of Scania and the thrilling sites of cultural and
historical value. Christinehof Ecopark is open around the clock. You are always welcome to walk our paths
and to enjoy your packed lunch or picnic in the park.

In the peak season the café, shop and exhibition rooms of the manor house are open 11.00 – 17.00. During
opening hours you can also participate in a number of activities that we offer.

Fishing in Lake Verkasjön
Lake Verkasjön is a popular destination for anglers. Fishing permits are available from a slot machine by
the car park at Christinehof for the price of 40 SEK.

Guided tours
Every week there are several guided tours (in Swedish) of the Manor House, the Alum Works and the
Wetlands of Borstakärr.

Activities to be booked in advance
Apart from our ordinary activities we arrange a number of excursions into the natural landscape and
its culture with a limited number of participants. The following should be booked in advance:
 
Wildlife Safari – a unique opportunity to learn more about the wildlife of Scania.

Rides on Icelandic horses (famous for their ‘tölt’ (=rack) gait) in the Ecopark accompanied by our guides.

Up-close natural experience for children from 4 years.

Bicycle tour with packed lunch – rent for a full day with packed lunch included.

A walk of well-being – find harmony for body and soul

Private guided tour in foreign languages
We can offer a number of our activities in English, French, German, Spanish and Danish. These tours have
to be booked in advance and are for group bookings only. Prices from 900 SEK.

Group excursions, conferences and meetings
Christinehof Ecopark is a popular destination for group excursions and company tours. We offer a memorable
